In high school Tony was named all-state in football as a junior in 2002 at Penn High School. He lettered in both football and track his last 3 years at Penn. Tony earned a scholarship to play football at Western Kentucky University where he played as a freshman. His sophomore year he transferred to play at Indiana State University under his father and Head Coach Lou West. As a Sycamore, West became a top running back and his senior year was ranked as the Nation's 40th best running back out of 255 FBS and FCS college football teams. Tony also ran indoor track at ISU, where he placed 4th in the Missouri Valley Conference Championship, with a time of 6.83 in the 60 meter dash. Tony graduated from ISU with a Bachelor's degree in Sport Management and Exercise Science.
Since graduating from ISU in 2008, Tony has spent his career managing multiple personal training departments around the Indianapolis area, such as LA Fitness, Gold's Gym, and Anytime Fitness. With his experience running Gym's and specializing in personal training, Tony began Explosive Performance 1 Personal Training. His goal is to give EVERYONE in Indianapolis and surrounding areas an opportunity to have an amazing personal training experience at an affordable price! Tony has worked with 1,000's of people, helping them learn how to reach their individual fitness goals. Whether it is losing weight, tightening and toning, or sports performance training, Tony can do it ALL.
Tony resides in Indianapolis with his two children, Maliya (10) and Giovani (4).
